Healing Power of "Giving Before Receiving"

There is always an explanation?
I decided in a just a moment of opportunity to listen to a complete stranger tell me about the experience and knowledge they have about a subject that I had no knowledge of at all, and thought at the time, how strange and bizarre.
What is this person going on about!!
This person has lost the plot!!
After giving an ear and listening, I got passed the "negative barrier" and realized that there is a lot more.
What others want to share with me can have great value.
I am now very open to the "rantings" of others, the information that I gather has changed my thinking, broadened my understandings about myself, others and just how much more there really is to discover.
We'd need multiple lifetimes to slightly scratch the surface. I now listen intently to everyone who takes the time to enlighten me with their enthusiasm and knowledge about many subjects, which always, eventually, relate to each other.
The healing power of words should never be ignored, one never knows when the value of what we are hearing until we stop to listen.
