The Angel in the Park.

My mother died on April 10, 2011 and her funeral was held a week later, April 18, 2011.

I was just starting my second trimester of pregnancy when we lost my mother. My husband and I had been together over 11 years when our daughter was born just over 6 months ago.

Any way, fast forward to April 19, 2012. The last week I was not able to do much through my depression, my child is the only thing I can invest myself into when I get that far into depression. So, the day after the anniversary of my mother's funeral, my husband and I decide to go to a park that he had never been to.

I only discovered this park a few weeks ago and there was a reason that I took my husband there, he is a veteran and there is war memorabilia around the entrance. Well, our visit didn't start in the best way. As soon as I parked our car and got out, another driver backed into my bumper as I was reaching into the car to get my baby out.
Fortunately no one was hurt, and the woman who had backed into us had three of her grandchildren with her so we were thankful that every one was alright.

We spoke to this woman for about a half hour, she was a good Christian and an older woman; there was not enough damage to our vehicle to concern anyone with so we told her to go on about her way and be careful, exchanged phone numbers just in case. We went over to the exhibit and sat down with the baby and talked about all of the pieces they had up for about half an hour.

As we were getting ready to leave another younger woman walked up to us and explained that she had witnessed what had happened when we had arrived and felt partially responsible. She had been talking to the elderly woman before our little run in and she felt that she had gotten the woman all in a tizzy from their conversation about God and spirituality. I just laughed, it all seemed innocent enough.

The young woman had stood in front of us the entire time and held something in her hand. At this time she revealed the small bible she had, as well as some money in her hand. She said that the Lord had guided her to us so that she could help in any way possible and she wanted to give us some money to help relieve the burden on the older woman. Of course we kept trying to refuse the money and explained to her that we had no intentions of pursuing anything, both my husband and I were just flabbergasted as she continued to insist and placed the bible in my hand - with $100. As soon as she let go of my hands she gave us her blessings and walked away.

Now, if this wasn't a strange enough situation to begin with, it got even more peculiar from here. After just a couple of shocked moments, we continued to pack the baby back up and I told my husband to take her to the car, as I was going to go talk to the woman and try to return the money - especially once I realized how much was there.

It had been less than 2 minutes as I walked onto the still half full playground and tried to locate the woman who had just walked away from us.

Not only could I not find her, but even the people in the park, including some that had witnessed the collision between me and the other woman, had no idea who I was talking about. No one had seen the young blond girl who had been around for hours before approaching us, within 120 seconds she had completely vanished from the park. My husband and I left to come home and as I told my friends and family I realized just how unbelievable all this was. I also realized that the woman was guided by my Angel, my mother found a way to tell me everything would be okay - and to never stop believing in miracles.
